Platform Lead Systems Engineer

Act as platform or functionality engineering lead in coordination of multiple avionics integration activities.

Essential Job Functions:

Coordinate with NAVAIR platform program office, NAVAIR CNS/ATM program office, various commodity owners, Systems Engineering, Test and Evaluation, and various functional Subject Matter Experts on engineering matters pertinent to the platform.

Develop and maintain SEP, SEMP and manage all aspects of SETR process.

Assist in reviewing, updating and tracking progress of ECPs and various forms of logistical documentation for the platform.

Provide support in engineering and integration planning and execution: Schedule, Technical and Fiscal Management.

Assist in the development of strategies and proposals related to integration of new avionics suites and related technologies.

Required Skills:

Understanding of the NAVAIR SETR process.

General knowledge of avionics engineering integration management.

Specific familiarity with the assigned platform most desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.

High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, customers, suppliers and visitors.

Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole.

Must be highly reliable and capable of meeting work schedule consistently.

Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Strong decision making ability and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Project.

Master's degree in technical field.

DAWIA level III certification for SPRDE-SE or SPRDE-PSE.

Desired knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Provisioning, Technical Manual Development and Engineering Drawings.
