Job Summary

The Loudoun County Department of Family Services is seeking an energetic and dedicated professional for a supervisory position in the Children's Services Act (CSA) Program.
The Children's Services Act Supervisor position is responsible for administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations of the CSA program as well as direct supervision of the CSA Utilization Review Analyst team. Under the general direction of the Children's Services Act Program Manager, and in adherence to State Code, this position oversees the multidisciplinary team process for determining the use of pooled federal, state, and local funding for the purchase of appropriate and timely community-based or residential services for youth at-risk and supervises the utilization review analysts that review these purchased services. Additionally, this position conducts an administrative review of mandated and non-mandated services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and train clinical staff conducting utilization service reviews.
  • Oversee processes for determining and monitoring purchased services for at-risk children and youth.
  • Maintain program recordation and documentation.
  • In conjunction with the CSA Program Administrator, develop, recommend, revise, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Oversee client fee payment process.
  • Supervises the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) process; ensures meetings are scheduled; monitors the FAPT rotation and client calendar; screens and assigns cases to the Utilization Review Team.
  • Provides quarterly case manager training and other training to internal and external stakeholders as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field related to the assigned program or department (Master's degree may be required depending on specifically assigned departments/programs); four (4) years related work experience including one (1) year of supervisory or team lead experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of post-master's degree experience providing professional human/social services clinician work, which included the application of diagnostic, treatment, and case management services.
  • Currently licensed or license-eligible (transferrable) in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an LCSW or LPC.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal background check required. Based on assigned program area a credit and/or DMV check may also be required. For DMV check, valid driver's license and good driving record required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
For licensed programs requirements include: Child Protective Services (CPS) check.
