As a Project Manager on the Test and Launch Engineering Team, you will directly support Blue Origin's success by planning the design and build of ground systems at multiple test sites. The person in this role will handle schedules, budgets, material procurement and resource allocation to complete projects on schedule and within the allocated budget. Additionally, the position offers the opportunity to shape and improve the tools and methodologies used for effective project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project initiation by capturing requirements from internal customers, write project plans and develop baseline schedules and budgets.

  • Monitor work assignments, manage change and track risk for multiple projects.

  • Track key performance indicators and report out at program monthly reviews.

  • Guide the preparation, execution and closeout of follow-up actions for Gated Reviews (e.g.SRR, PDR, CDR).

  • Run external subcontracts, both time and materials, in support of project efforts.

  • Perform audits and continual improvement of project management tools and apply structure to how a growing organization manages multiple projects.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience, including complex system development projects within theaerospace, high pressure systemor similar safety critical industry.

  • Prior execution of multiple projects to successful completion, on budget and on time.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles on complex, multi-disciplinary systems, including project planning, RACI, IMS, critical path, EVMS, manage change, and after-action reporting.

  • Organized self-starter, capable of breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks and concisely presenting project status.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to identify and tailor to a target audience. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or Change Certification.

  • Prior experience in or working with construction industry including permitting, electrical,structural, cryogenics and fluids systems.

  • Prior implementation of Earned Value Management.

  • Experience with some or all the following tools:AirTable, Tableau, Windchill, JIRA, DOORS Next Generation, andDeltek.

  • Writing of RFQs or proposals in response to work requests.

  • Experience with the design, build and test of fluids and/or cryogenic systems.

  • Experience making routine presentations to large groups and executive level employees.


Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $79,830-$,111,762
