Job Description:

We are looking for a Change and Configuration Manager to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining the configuration baseline, identifying the configuration items (CIs), which are the units of configuration management, such as software modules, hardware components, documents, or configurations and, assigns unique identifiers, attributes, and relationships to the CIs, and stores them in a configuration management database (CMDB) or a configuration management system (CMS).

The Change and Configuration Manager shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Create, maintain, and organize documentation to ensure effective information communication, processes, and transparency.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to design, build, test, and deploy changes to new and existing software.
  • Build out, manage, improve, and optimize large and growing infrastructure.
  • Drive changes that stimulate automation and modernize operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development and production environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud-based services.
  • Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)
  • Ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of infrastructure, code deployment, and software development.
  • Choose and maintain the best tools and technologies for the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process.
  • Competence of new processes documentation and transferring that knowledge in a team environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience developing and delivering architecture diagrams and supporting documentation of highly complex IT systems
  • Foundational cloud concepts associated with one or more of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, or IBM Cloud
  • Secrets management in automation pipeline - concept and execution
  • Understanding of Python, Bash, Powershell, Ansible, Javascript
  • Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balances, firewalls, and infrastructure design
  • Experience managing a data operations environment to include maintaining a data catalog.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree are preferred in one or more technical discipline but can be waived if previous direct configuration management support to this customer's agency.
  • Three (3) years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree for a total of six (6) years of experience.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
