Responsibilities

The Intake Specialist is the liaison between the Admissions Department and Program Staff.


Essential Duties:

    Act independently to recognize, acknowledge, and ensure clients engagement upon arrival.
  • Establish rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • Facilitate all intake activities.
  • Coordinate face-to-face assessments.
  • Collect and ensure all admissions related paperwork is accurately completed.
  • Generate EHR chart for all new admits.
  • Conduct tours.
  • Responsible for representing and introducing professionals, clients, and families to Newport Healthcare.
  • Acclimate client into environment.
  • Assist Admissions Department with over-the-phone assessments as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or high school diploma and two (2) years of customer service experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in Admission and/or behavioral health preferred.
  • Two years residential treatment or inpatient experience preferred.
