Responsibilities

The Electronic Payment Operations Manager manages, coordinates, and direct all activities of the Wire Transfer and ACH Operations Department, ensuring that proper procedures, systems, and controls are in place to minimize risk and mitigate loss to the bank and our customers. Ensures quality service and effective operations to support all functions within the Wire Transfer and ACH operations. Remains current on state-of-the-art processes, technology, and products to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, service delivery to internal/external customers and strengthen controls. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all rules and regulations as warranted for this position. Liaise with the lines of business including Treasury Management support and sales, Product Development, other internal support groups and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

Requirements:

    High School Diploma.
  • 10 years of experience in electronic payments and fraud, with a minimum of 5 years leadership in electronic payments.
  • Experience with Actimize or other fraud tracking software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in core banking system experience; FIS/ Integrated Banking System (IBS) strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with wire system; FIS products preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic payment systems, rules, and regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of Third-Party Payment Processing services and the required monitoring and oversight.
  • Excellent organizational, managerial and project management skills developed via progressive responsibility in a banking operations or similar setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced customer relations skills: ability to focus on internal/external client needs as a key driver that propels development in this key, high-visibility function.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations and how the various functions interact with Finance (General Ledger), Risk Management, Commercial Banking, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office; proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of the Federal Reserve Bank's Regulations and other pertinent regulations.
  • Ability to train staff regarding system, software, and process changes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Ability to display initiative, critical thinking, assume responsibilities, and act upon decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

Preferences:

  • AAP and APRP Accreditation strongly preferred, will consider a well-qualified candidate who is in the process of obtaining the certification.
  • College degree.
  • Third party payment processing oversight.
