Job Description
Working closely with the philanthropy team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for donors for their facilitation, providing personalized attention, fostering meaningful connections, and contributing to the overall success of our fundraising initiatives. Oversees program and leads a team to ensure best practices and strategies are implemented.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
Experience
  • 5-7 years Related healthcare experience. With knowledge of electronic medical records, insurance, HIPPA and other patient navigation experience required.
  • One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional proficiency in writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading is essential.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various communication channels, both print and electronic, is required.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the capability to efficiently organize and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging in conversations with professionals at all levels, including physicians, nurses, patients, and individuals both within and outside the organization.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated, showcasing a proven ability to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaboration with senior leadership and teamwork are emphasized, while creativity and experience in publication production are considered advantageous. Knowledge of communication practices in healthcare or other industries is expected, and the ability to perform well in a stressful environment, taking appropriate actions, is a key requirement for success in this role.
  • Manages and leads the donor liaison program designed to assist donors with access to healthcare needs.
  • Drives donor/patient navigation including scheduling, registration, medical records transfer and other necessary tasks to facilitate a positive and efficient patient experience.
  • Primary liaison between philanthropy, donor, and clinical staff.
  • Takes initiative to ensure strong communication, including pre and post discharge and pre and post patient encounter.
  • Drives to create an empathetic and caring patient experience for donors
  • Takes initiative to proactively reach out to donors to schedule appointments.
  • Partners to develop and coordinate personalized stewardship plans for individual donors as required (i.e. hospital tours, photo opportunities, meetings with medical staff.)
  • Provides strategic partnership for donor recognition and donor stewardship events/activities.
  • Participates and develops strategies for ongoing communication activities for stewardship
  • Represents the philanthropy at donor and community events as needed
  • Responsible for accurate upkeep of donor records in the Philanthropy CRM aligned with policies, procedures and compliance.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
  • Meets ongoing educational requirements of the organization and professional development activities.
