The MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Marketing (DOT Executive II) within the Division of Marketing and Air Service Development at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating effective marketing strategies that encourage passengers to fly to BWI Marshall Airport.
  • Developing and implementing cohesive marketing plans/campaigns to support
    MAA's growth trajectory and brand awareness.
  • Developing and supporting the airport's digital platforms and content strategy including social media platforms. Grows customer engagement through owned platforms.
  • Working with Airport Technology & Innovation to continuously improve the customer-facing experience and back-end technology for MAA websites.
  • Implementing strategies for the terminal concession programs including food and beverage, retail, news, advertising, foreign exchange, Duty-Free, and other revenue-generating opportunities at both airports.

Employees in this position will occasionally be required to work weekend and evening hours for special events and outreach activities.

This position is located at the BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Six (6) years of experience in administrative or professional work. This experience must include developing comprehensive marketing plans/campaigns tailored to brand recognition.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in leveraging digital platforms and content strategies to engage customers
  • An innovative with a forward-thinking mindset coupled with a deep understanding of emerging trends and technologies in marketing, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
  • Proficient written and oral presentation skills
  • Knowledge of analytics and budget management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high performance driven environment

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher-ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Licenses & Certifications

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
