Job Description

Description

The Cloudburst Group is a unique small business working at the intersection of domestic and international development to support government programs that benefit low-income and vulnerable populations. We have an exciting opportunity in our communications practice area for an early career visual media specialist. The successful candidate will join our interdisciplinary team of graphic design, writing and copy editing, web development, video and motion design, instructional design, and social media specialists.

The Junior Communications Specialist will initially be responsible for document formatting and assisting the Graphic Designer with other communications tasks across a variety of clients and projects. The candidate should have a high attention to detail, good task management skills, the ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, skill at working well in a dispersed team environment, and be adaptable to change.

The successful candidate will be capable of working independently in a virtual environment, becoming an essential part of a small team creating communications materials for the company and its clients. As a remote member of a close-knit team, the candidate will need to be available to work during a reliable set of company hours, proactively communicating, participating in project management processes, and assisting colleagues wherever possible to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
