Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager/Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations, this role oversees timely and accurate supply chain operations, including receiving, unpacking, and restocking supplies and equipment. Responsibilities include managing inventory hardware and software, monitoring inventory movement, participating in truck loading/unloading, and maintaining orderly supply areas.
Other Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels - Review units for low inventory, manage restocking, and retrieve supplies from central storeroom - Participate in truck unloading/loading for timely supply arrivals - Manage emergency cart restocking with a procedure time limit
- Achieve a productivity rate of 52 lines/hour for supply area restocking
- Attend daily huddles for work assignments
- Check, flag, and remove short-dated or expired products
- Retrieve, disinfect, and redistribute small equipment
- Maintain orderly supply areas to comply with regulations
- Field customer requests and direct them to materials management channels
- Support inbound receiving process by reviewing, sorting, verifying contents, entering goods receipt, and delivering parcels
Competencies:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Knowledge: Departmental policies, inventory stocking, distribution, customer service protocols, and healthcare supplies management preferred.
Skills: Communication, computer literacy, problem-solving, flexibility, teamwork, and basic math skills
Work Experience: Six months of professional work experience required, with preference for warehouse, hospital supply chain, or customer service roles.
Machines, Tools, and Equipment:
Handling equipment, inventory management systems, handheld computers, bar code scanners, calculators, and basic communication equipment.
Problem Solving:
- Uses logistics knowledge to resolve inventory-related problems - Engages stakeholders to improve operational efficiencies
Information Management:
- Utilizes materials management systems for customer and department needs - Generates and interprets daily pick tickets - Uses handhelds and ERP for accurate record-keeping
Working Conditions:
- General warehouse environment with occasional discomfort (cold, heat, noise, poor ventilation) - May involve lifting heavy boxes, operating material handling equipment - Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lbs., or pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs. for entire shift - May require use of protective gear (safety glasses, shoes, isolation gowns, masks, gloves, etc.)
