Under general supervision, processes employee workers' compensation claims and benefits, including preparation of legal forms for the Workers Compensation Commission. Computes workers compensation benefits due employee as well as approving payments for employees' medical bills and issuance of checks for claims. Works with attorney and supervisor to negotiate settlements.
A comprehensive level of knowledge of workers' compensation law, insurance claims procedures and claims' investigation as acquired in two to three years of related experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computer programs to track and trend data are necessary.
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of two years of workers' compensation experience
