  • Salary range: $75,000 to $80,000
  • Clearance required: Top Secret

JOB TITLE: AUDIO / VISUAL (AV) TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY: We are looking to hire full-time Information Technology Analyst (Audio / Visual Technician) personnel to provide support services to assist with the development and operations of the FBI Experience. The FBI Experience is an education center that provides visitors with look into the FBI through interactive multimedia exhibits, content, and artifacts. The Technical Support/IT Specialist is required to support all technical and IT needs of The FBI Experience. This role can vary from installation, operation, and maintenance of all A/V equipment to the repair and troubleshooting of all FBI Experience electronic systems.

Audio / Visual Technician should be:

  • Knowledgeable of coaxial and fiber optic cable installation and termination
  • Able to create, maintain and install Digital Signage content and display equipment
  • Able to operate test equipment in troubleshooting electronic systems

Install, Operate, Configure, Maintain:

  • Audio / Visual equipment and systems
  • TV distribution system equipment
  • Audio /Visual related computer equipment
  • HD cameras as well as concealed camera and monitor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Technical Support/IT Specialist is required to support all technical and IT needs of The FBI Experience. This role can vary from installation, operation, and maintenance of all A/V equipment to the repair and troubleshooting of all FBI Experience electronic system Coaxial and fiber optic cable installation and termination.
  • Installation, operation, and maintenance of A/V equipment and systems.
  • Create, maintain and install Digital Signage content and display equipment.
  • Operate and maintain audio system equipment.
  • Install, operate, and maintain TV distribution system equipment.
  • Installation, configuration, and operation of A/V-related computer equipment.
  • Installation, operation, and maintenance of HD cameras as well as concealed camera and monitor.
  • Operate test equipment in troubleshooting electronic systems.
  • Install, configure, operate and maintain data systems/connections for Experience (example: computers, Drones, vehicles, etc.).
  • Perform video recordings and editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties under stressful conditions. (Events being supported by FBI executive management)
  • Demonstrated experience with Data, Audio systems, Video systems, Digital Signage, TV systems, Recordings, and editing.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and using electronic test equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere as well individually.
  • Demonstrated skills to configure and reconfigure equipment and systems to meet customer requirements.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Power Point & Excel), Skype.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate / General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Have an active Top-Secret clearance.
  • Experience being a part of a team.
  • Experience interacting with the public on the phone, virtually, and in-person.
  • Experience in interacting with high-level executives/visitors in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated experience working with A/V equipment.
  • Demonstrated skills of attention to detail, management of ambiguous data, and categorical management.
  • Experience with A/V-related software.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to stand and walk.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to talk or hear.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually low.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
