Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies. Ideal candidate will have experience with creating specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides technical guidance concerning automated solutions to complex analysis and studies and prepares reports and presentations. Manages the project work as defined by the customer. Completes assigned projects and major phases of very large projects and provides technical and specialized guidance solutions to complex IT problems. Performs fact-finding, analysis, and development of conclusions. Prepares reports and presentations, coordinates resolution of action items.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

    BS degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline is required. 5 years of additional IT related experience may be substituted for a BS degree.
  • 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field is required.
  • Experience with creating specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Experience with switches and routers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
  • Experience with design/engineering/implementation of LAN/WAN networks and related administration experience of those networks.
  • Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct testing of network design and offer recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to design, plan, build and deploy network communication systems.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
