Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Global Product Manager who will take on the global ownership within our Immune Response Franchise which are at different stages in the product lifecycle. You will secure the continuous business success through new product development, expansion of the application scope, proactive life cycle management and marketing to customers and internal stakeholders.

We prefer candidates in the Germantown, MD location, which is the US headquarters. Remote candidates are required to travel to Germantown, MD occasionally.

Product Development:

-Create business cases articulating the commercial prospects of the products being developed

-Define Intended Use for products

-Develop Customer Requirements based on comprehensive primary and secondary market research that translate into Product Requirements

-Ensuring verification and validation strategies are aligned with intended product use

-Have oversight on clinical trial data to ensure regulatory filings are aligned with intended use

Product Commercialization:

-Work with regional marketing and sales teams to lead:

-Definition of target segments for the product and its various iterations

-Product positioning and messaging that can be used by regional marketing teams to promote the product

-Reimbursement strategy definition and execution in collaboration with medical affairs and regional teams

-Post-market surveillance to define lifecycle management actions

-Product implementation to facilitate seamless ordering in target geographies

-Have oversight on product registration across to gain market access in identified geographies in business case

Support Strategic Input:

-Work with Sales, Medical Affairs and external collaborators, like KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), to support development of strategic elements crucial to driving short and long term business goals

-Key clinical conditions that QIAGEN should focus on, based on our core competencies and based on the capabilities of currently available solutions

-Defining the addressable market for the key disease areas that QIAGEN would want to focus on in the medium and longer terms

-Evaluate strategic alternatives for expanding business footprint, including due diligence on potential acquisition targets

-Business Performance Monitoring and Senior Management Reporting

-Work closely with regions to have full visibility into business performance across key metrics

Position Requirements

-5-10 years experience in clinical IVD marketing/ commercial organizations

-Technical background, scientific degree and molecular diagnostics background specifically preferred

-Sales experience

-Global business experience, IVD products preferred

-Global travel (up to 15%)

-Ability to work effectively in a cross functional/matrix organization

-Ability to communicate effectively in a global organization

-Flexible to work across highly technical and complex business concepts i.e. business cases and strategic marketing plans with Voice of Customer

-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-Energetic, pragmatic, business driven

-Organized and independent

-Team player

-Fluent in English, any additional language is beneficial

-Excellent presentation and communication skills
