The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Neuro-Interventional Radiology Lab consists 2 Neuro IR procedural rooms. There are approximately 10 cases per day across both areas. Radiology Nurses provide care to inpatients and outpatients across the life spectrum undergoing studies and procedures in all imaging modalities. Staff also oversee clinical management of patients intra procedure and are responsible for administration of moderate sedation. Care includes: IV starts, central line access, general anesthesia, patient preparation, procedural sedation, management of emergency events, and maintenance of a safe patient environment.
