Overview

GKG is seeking a Human Capital Data Analyst to join our team. The selected individual will be a part of a team working change management within a Human Capital environment.

6 month contract

Responsibilities

    Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in federal human capital data management for other program resources, providing analytical consultative services and expertise.

  • Provide recommendations to customers and other HRM team members of data products that effectively address federal human capital data questions.

  • Support key federal human capital program initiatives including but not limited to, various annual reports/audits and inquiries from OPM, GSA, OMB, and Congress, Diversity Equity Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) and hybrid work evaluations and reporting, and staffing planning aligned with CHIPS & Science Act allocations.

  • Translate functional requirements to technical development teams to support the creation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that enhance the customer experience, enable improved analysis capabilities, and reduce manual report requests.

  • Analyze data request trends to anticipate agency needs and proactively suggest improvements and enhancements to reporting capabilities.

  • Develop materials to guide data literacy and improve analytic reports and dashboard usage, which may include training HR consumers in the effective use of reporting tools, ensuring their proficiency in utilizing various reporting tools.

  • Support the planning, and development of reports and other data products using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Tableau, SharePoint Online, and other tools as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience specifically working with federal human capital data in Federal space.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with Tableau dashboards or similar data visualization tools.
  • Moderate experience in analyzing data relationship trends and extracting meaningful insights.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in performing data analysis, including data manipulation and interpretation.

  • Strong understanding of federal human capital data management and reporting requirements.

  • Familiarity with HR analytics and metrics frameworks.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify innovative solutions to meet reporting and analytical needs.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, including data querying, data cleaning, and statistical analysis.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in federal human capital data analysis and reporting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that will promote effective communication and enable resource to act in an expert consultative manner to stakeholders.
