Overview

As the Director, Recruiting, you will be responsible for determining and leading the objectives and strategic direction of the recruiting team and enhancing our employer branding efforts and candidate experience, based on the company's goals and objectives.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Identifies the company's recruitment needs, defines objectives, and works closely with hiring managers and recruiters to determine the most effective hiring strategies. Evaluates recruiting strategies/tactics and processes to continually improve recruiting operations to achieve recruitment of high quality of talent into the business.
  • Evaluates the department's workload to guarantee optimal recruitment activity.
  • Understands and helps to establish annual hiring projections and the recruiting budget based on research and collaboration.
  • Works with HR leads and other stakeholders to develop, streamline and automate internal recruitment guidelines, projects, policies, and processes, striving for constant improvement to ensure business-wide recruiting effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establishes criteria for candidate interviews and assessments and assists in finalizing hiring decisions.
  • Leads, develops, and manages a fast paced, high-performing team. Coaches, manages, and develops the team, actively supporting their professional growth. Provides leadership of the employment brand and develops supporting materials to communicate value proposition through business's employment advertisements, career sites, job descriptions, etc.
  • Provides or recommends training and assistance to team members as needed. Ensures consistent business image in the eyes of potential candidates and talents through recruiting campaigns and processes.
  • Maintains extraordinary working relationships with hiring agencies, educational institutions, and diverse networks to leverage the rapport to source the best candidates.
  • Leads recruiting analytics and leverages and creates key dashboards and performance metrics to grow a data-driven and technically skilled recruiting team.
  • Partners with the legal department to comply with state and federal legislation in its recruitment efforts. Oversees the compliance of all internal and external regulations concerning the recruitment and selection process.
  • Revisits and maintains internal sites and materials related to recruiting; writes and publishes applicable companywide messaging, and articles for the company newsletter.
  • Collaborates and engages with hiring managers to assess their interview skillset/techniques. Develops and facilitates training as necessary.

As a manager, you are also expected to:

  • Lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Promote an environment of inclusivity and respect, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging open dialogue among all team members.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and positive change within the organization.
  • Cultivate a proactive approach to conflict resolution, striving for amicable solutions and escalating concerns as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience in Recruiting or related area.
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior recruiting position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managing a team of recruiters in a fast-paced, highly technical, & competitive business.
  • A deep knowledge of ICIMS, UKG, and CRM experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the management of recruiting operations and concepts - full life cycle recruiting, sourcing, reach out, DEI, and employment branding.
  • Team-oriented / accountability approach.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; performs a variety of tasks; leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship skills.
  • Ability to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks.
  • Self-starter, motivated person who has an eye for detail as well as getting the job done.
  • Ability to innovate and challenge current norms to drive change in the organization and work with people of varying backgrounds and organizational levels.
  • A demonstrated ability to multitask, accurately process administrative work and produce reports, probe, analyze and problem solve issues.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to changing structures and priorities.
POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $160,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
