Job Description

The Human Resources Shared Services Onboarding Representative acts as a first point of contact for all team member levels, colleagues and applicants. Consistently provides exceptional customer service such as providing timely and accurate information and resolving problems. Ensures accurate data entry and the processing of new hire and transfer team member information to facilitate smooth and accurate onboarding. Provides biweekly, quarterly and daily reports to customers as needed.

This is an Entry Level Position that will report onsite (Fairfax, VA) Monday-Friday.


Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as frontline customer service representative for Human Resources
  • Applies skills in active listening, courteous interactions, time management, problem solving and follow up
  • Effectively assesses customer requirements or needs and determines whether the inquiry needs to be escalated for resolution
  • Accurately interprets and effectively explains HR policies and procedures
  • Completes onboarding process for new hires and transfers including background and special background checks
  • Immediately communicates with HR Partners for any background check result concerns
  • Creates and updates standard operating procedures for the Onboarding Team
  • Accurately completes all pre-onboarding processes as triggering offer letter, ensuring background is in progress and complete, updating spreadsheets, creating sign-in sheets, creating badges, and managing onboarding tours for new hires and transfers
  • May perform additional duties as assigned



Additional Requirements


Experience - 1 year of experience in Human Resources ; Experience in Onboarding is highly preferred.

Education - High School or GED
