Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical BIM Specialist 2, we'll count on you to:

* Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

* Create or revise drawings per client standards.

* Organize CAD files per program requirements and company standards.

* Coordinate drafting tasks with designers and engineers to complete projects on schedule.

* Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

* Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.

* Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.

* Direct the efforts of less-experienced CAD Technicians as needed.

* Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

* Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience

* A minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical and mechanical projects

* AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office Suite Software knowledge

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in Utilities, commercial or institutional facilities; Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities.

The expected compensation range for this position is $61,000- $87,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.
