Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a highly motivated Technical Architect Lead to join our team. The candidate will be the one who maintains the technical vision, architecture, and design of a large public-facing web application.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillsets, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS' capabilities.

As a Technical Architect Lead you will:

  • Lead the technical vision, architecture, and design of custom public-facing web applications for customer experience, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Work with cross-functional development teams, including project managers, developers, and stakeholders of all levels, to build consensus around project vision and plan.
  • Act as a technical expert who designs and understands all the integrations with related systems.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and existing development work to provide recommendations and develop a modernization plan.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions to meet business challenges and continuously improve the customer experience, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Ensure that web applications comply with industry standards, including web accessibility, usability, and security.
  • Implement website performance, scalability, and security best practices, including load testing, caching, and other optimization techniques.
  • Define the structure of system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design, and implementation.
  • Design and validate complex architecture and ensure its successful implementation including providing direction to software programming and development of related documentation.
  • Supervise Capgemini staff and mentor career development.
  • Support firmwide activities in growth, capability development, and staff development.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or related field
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of experience in leading large web-based enterprise solutions/architectures across major platforms
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment and ability to weave "Lean", DevOps / DevSecOps concepts into the fabric of our culture.
  • Solid understanding applications in a cloud-based containerized environment and experienced working in an DevSecOps environment
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence senior team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think outside the box/about the big picture and goal-driven (do-er)
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum and Agile techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement, Technical Debt, PI Planning)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in modernization of existing custom web applications.
  • Experience working in the US Federal environment.
  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies: Ruby on Rails, React, React Native, Javascript, Python, Postgres, Kafka, OpenShift, Elasticache, SQS, Chef, Cloud Formation, GitHub, Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools including validation processes, and legal and ethical use of instruments for development, selection, and other talent management decisions
  • Analytical skills - Ability to problem solving and problem analysis.
  • Any architect related certifications such as Solution Architect (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.), CTA, TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL etc. will be a plus, but not a requirement.
  • CSM and/or SAFe certifications are a plus, but not a requirement.
