The Opportunity:The American Girl Washington, DC retail store and bistrois looking for a dynamic individualto provide outstanding customer service to guests by delivering high quality food and beverage service as aPart-Time Dessert Counter Associatein our Bistro. If you thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while remaining positive and upbeat, have exceptional communication skills, and can handle customer issues and requests graciously and on a timely basis, we want to hear from you.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Prep and prepare food items to recipe specifications; knowledge of dessert and beverage items.
  • Maintain dessert bar area to health code standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Follow food and workplace safety guidelines and understand local and state health sanitation laws.
  • Support co-workers by offering assistance as needed.
  • Ensure all POS and Infogenesis transactions are completed according to company policy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Restaurant experience, preferred.
  • ServSafe certification, preferred.
  • Experience working with children, preferred.
  • Ability to perform diverse physical tasks, including constant standing and walking, heavy lifting (30-50 lbs.), etc.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
