Title: Part-Time Faculty- Writing Center Tutor

Campus Location: Arnold/Main Campus

Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Position Summary

The AACC Writing Center is looking for part-time faculty to serve as tutors for our in-person, Zoom on Demand, and Virtual Writing Center (Zoom by appointment) services. Modalities are in-person at the Arnold campus and online synchronous during daytime, evening, or weekend hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Tutors assist students in all disciplines at any stage of the writing process with organization, structure, grammar/mechanics, and documentation (MLA or APA).

Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in English or a closely related field.

Previous college-level teaching and/or tutoring.

The English Department is seeking adjunct faculty from diverse backgrounds and with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, Anti-racism (DEIAA) practice and pedagogy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with English Language Learners a plus.

Two years of related professional experience.
