We're hiring a UI/UX Engineer in the Springfield, Joint Base Anacostia/Bolling (JBAB) area to support development of mission critical applications involving AI/ML capabilities for intelligence mission. The UI/UX Engineer will work closely with UX Designers, Business Analysts, engineers, developers, and data scientists from multivendor team to learn from the users and produce low-high fidelity comps and prototypes which will be tested, iterated, and briefed for development. This role includes product centric interaction and interface design working on low-mid fidelity static comps and interactive prototypes. The UI/UX Engineer will work on visual design initiatives that adhere to design principles overall consistency. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • This will require interfacing with multiple vendors to achieve a common goal for the customer
  • Working with clients, User Experience Designers and Business Analysts to develop the overall look and design
  • Producing, maintaining and modifying user interfaces
  • Incorporating applications, graphics, audio and video clips into websites
  • Creating tools that enhance the user's experience
  • Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and tablets

Required Technical and Professional Expertise: (please reference the contract labor category description for the baseline qualifications)

  • Minimum Years of Experience (5+ years)
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Progressive knowledge in the Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working Knowledge of Access
  • Willingness to travel to client sites

Travel: 0-10 percent
