Job Description:
Apprio is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support our fully funded contract in Windsor Mill, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Advocate and spearhead Agile SAFe across teams and with the customer
  • Conduct SCRUM Ceremonies and provide servant leadership for one or more Agile Teams (stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, iteration reviews)
  • Facilitate working sessions as requested by the team
  • Facilitate transparency of team tasks and provide oversight to ensure delivery of comprehensive products to the customer
  • Establish communication and set and implement standards with the Scrum teams
  • Monitor status of SCRUM and Kanban boards, ensure content is kept up to date and develop metrics as need to demonstrate progress to management
  • Create filters and dashboards to provide visualizations that demonstrate team progress and enable ease of work management
  • Work closely with executive management on the strategic goals and path for the teams
  • Perform team level risk management; both communication of risks to a higher level audience as well as clearing roadblocks and monitoring dependencies
  • Assist the Product Owner in the development of User Stories
  • Assist in pre-PI Planning activities
  • Lead the team during PI Planning
  • Provide updates during the Scrum of Scrums on team progress
  • Maintain team documentation and resources as it pertains to sprinting and program increments
  • Support other team needs as they arise (testing or analysis)
  • Initiate, develop, and grow relationships within the team, across teams, and with the customer
  • Pursue new business development opportunities as they present themselves

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management or related discipline
Certification Preferred: N/A
Required Experience: 7 to 9 years of experience

Requirement Knowledge:

  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of SAFe DevOps
  • Strong familiarity with Agile project management software (Jira, Confluence or other similar tool)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Possess leadership skills to motivate your team to follow your direction; setting reasonable, challenging and clear expectations for individuals and holding them accountable
  • Ability to be onsite 3-5 days a week in Maryland
  • Advance SAFe, Agile or SCRUM Certification
  • Ability to establish a positive working relationship with the client.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Experience with CMS TRB
  • Experience in healthcare domain strongly preferred
  • Experience in federal contracting
