We're looking for a Design Project Engineer to provide technical, managerial, and administrative support to Project Managers and Project Executives.
You'll support the Project Manager in the delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives. You'll coordinate technical design disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and process automation on pharmaceutical industry projects to achieve project goals. Communication will be key as you regularly interact with clients and project teams, building positive relationships and facilitating and documenting communications.
As a Project Engineer, we'll rely on you to develop working knowledge of the project scope and apply it to project activities. The project manager will look to you for support in development, maintenance, and communication of the following:
Understanding of budgeting and reporting is important, as you develop a working knowledge of the project budget, and identify exceptions to the project budget throughout execution of the project. You'll help to prepare subcontract and purchase order documentation and will monitor and report project costs, developing change control documentation and related financial documentation for the PM. You'll also evaluate vendor and subcontractor invoices. You'll focus on quality, as you develop a thorough understanding of contractually required quality in design and construction and support quality assurance for the project. You'll also monitor design content and quality and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance with basis documents, schedule, and budget.
Procurement responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager in the procurement and coordination of all required project resources, including intradivisional, interdivisional, and extracorporate. In conjunction with Document Control, you'll ensure that all project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements. Project documents include records of communications, design documents, bid packages and addenda and bulletins thereto, and submittal's, among others. You will also support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
