Absolute Quality was incorporated in 1996 by 5 members of Microprose Software to answer the industry’s call for a highly sophisticated outsourcing option in multimedia software testing. The following year, we expanded our services to include technical support, leveraging the in-depth product knowledge we acquired through our rigorous testing processes. AQ quickly became the preferred outsource solution of major developers and publishers, which included at the time: Hasbro Interactive, Virgin Interactive, and Broderbund, to name a few. We became uniquely positioned to offer testing and technical support to our clients, all under the one roof.
AQ is distinguished by our commitment to investing heavily in high tech infrastructure, as evidenced by our state-of-the-art call center offering technical support via multiple live and self-help interaction channels. Also we instituted Bug City™, the software program we developed internally to find, track and report bugs in the software products we’re testing.
In August 1999, AQ opened its European headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland – the call center capital of Europe – allowing us to serve the European market from the seat of call center technology. This was followed in May 2004 by the launch of a new Localization Division in Munich, Germany allowing us to integrate translation, content localization and voice-over into our comprehensive range of support services for games developers and publishers. Today, we have over 300 employees worldwide, many of them fluent or native speakers of a minimum of two European languages, providing software testing, localization and technical support solutions to companies around the world in ten languages.
